The City of Cornwall is home to a thriving arts and culture sector filled with world-class musicians, exciting theatre and thought provoking visual arts. By providing excellent facilities and events, Cornwall celebrates local musicians and artists and provides them with many opportunities to master their craft.

Just about every music genre can be heard and celebrated during Cornwall’s Arts in the Park concert series. Open to everyone, the outdoor concert series offers free, family friendly musical entertainment and movie presentations. Both Aultsville Theatre and the Port Theatre are also equipped to host live music and professional touring artists, and provide the community with a number of theatrical and musical shows. For those who appreciate the visual arts, the Cornwall Art Gallery is the place to be. In September, the Apple and Arts Tour is a chance for residents and visitors to meet local artists and enjoy their pieces in the studios where they were created.

There are a number of organizations in Cornwall that support artists and supply them with the resources they need to excel at their craft and connect with other artists. The Focus Arts Association organizes multiple exhibitions throughout the year to give artists the chance to show their work. They also coordinate events where artists can connect with and support other artists. Your Arts Council (YAC) was created to provide artists and the community with the tools and resources they need to be successful. Their programs aim to promote the work of local artists and include the YAC Circulating Gallery and the Seeker Art Event Calendar.
