Finding a Dentist
It is recommended that everyone goes to a dentist once every six months. Your dentist may suggest that you visit more or less depending on the overall health of your teeth. Taking good care of your teeth and mouth can help prevent tooth decay and gum disease.

Dental Coverage
It is important to note that OHIP does not cover dental services. OHIP may cover some dental surgery, but routine dental care is not covered by OHIP.
If you are working, your employer may offer a dental plan as part of an employee benefits package. Dental plans help employees pay for dental procedures such as cleaning teeth and gums, x-rays, filling cavities and removing wisdom teeth.
If you do not have access to an employee plan, you can buy an individual plan from a private insurance company.
