Registering Your Business

Every business must be registered with the Government of Canada. Before registering your business, you will need to decide on the name of your business. You can search exisitng registrations online to see if the name of your business is already being used.

The cost of registration is $60 and it must be renewed every five years. You can register your business online:

Once registered, you’ll receive a Master Business Licence (MBL), which you can use as proof of business name registration at financial institutions and in business transactions with the Ontario government.
